Run or Dye Fundraiser Stories: Sophie Mace

Speaking to some of our previous competitors about their experiences of the Run or Dye event and fundraising alongside, it is brilliant to hear such amazing stories. Sophie Mace, a Brighter Future Fund holder, spoke about her experience in connection to remembering her daughter.

Run or Dye lends itself to being a fantastic opportunity for fundraising towards a good cause, and many of our runners proudly choose to do so. Sophie took the opportunity to raise money towards her Brighter Future Fund with Great Ormond Street Hospital, in memory of her late daughter Lexi. “We loved the idea of it because it was a happy and very colourful way to get a group of people to together to think about Lexi.”

“We had 23 in our team and we all thoroughly loved it! The run itself was brilliant. We had entries in all 3 races, 5km, 3.5km and 1km. We loved how inclusive the 1km option made it. My daughter, Annabelle (5), loved the foam part!”

“Great Ormond Street Hospital are amazing! We got great support and I thought it was lovely to receive the Clinique gifts in the post after the event. On the day, the lady in the GOSH tent was really helpful taking pictures and supplying us with healthy snacks!”

“I would definitely recommend this challenge for non-competitive bright, colourful fun! It was a brilliant family event and we are looking forward to doing it again next year with an even bigger team!”
